There is a big problem faced by this lady portraitist from Pasadena each time she comes in to paint her most unpredictable muses. Mostly well bred subjects greet her but she will never be able to get them posing as courteously as mother did for whistler. The home that she and her husband live in has a sunny second floor and this where she captures her dog subjects with the use of an instant camera and does her preliminary sketches. Purebred dogs are mostly her clients. With the recognizable skeletal structure and coat shades of thoroughbreds, they are much easier to paint that the rest. When asked what her favorite subjects are, she readily responds with the purebred hounds who have nice short hair and a fine bodily structure that is apparent. As a plus, these dogs have marvelous expressions and she takes pleasure in capturing such.


During the week, this lady portraitist is also a local observatory's technical illustrator and she is also known to be adept with landscapes with water color as medium. A well known gallery houses her best works of art. It was in the city of New York, at an art institute there, that she learned how to be a magazine illustrator. Charcoal and oil are second options for this lady who likes to depict her canine clients in pastels. She gets flooded with subjects more than what she can take care of during Christmastime.

Similar to painters of human beings, this lady reveals she flatters her pooch subjects once in a while.
